Former Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan is currently in India to play in IPL 2021. He will be playing for Kolkata Knight Riders who roped him in for 3.2 crores at the IPL 2021 player auction. He was finally given the NOC to participate in the IPL after a lot of deliberation by the Bangladesh Cricket Board. Shakib will be skipping the Test series against Sri Lanka to play in the IPL.
Shakib Al Hasan has been in the middle of his quarantine period. In the meantime, he did an interaction with his fans on an Instagram session. the former Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan revealed the names of his three favorite current cricketers. He named Ben Stokes of England and Kane Williamson of New Zealand as two of the three players he likes currently, while the third name was that of India’s all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.
The former Bangladesh skipper will be facing all three of them when KKR play against the respective franchises for whom the other players play.
KKR has a great resource for spin this season with Shakib forming a quartet with Harbhajan Singh, Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarty. Kuldeep Yadav has blown cold in recent times. The two-time champions will kick-start their IPL 2021 campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad in Chennai on April 11.
Meanwhile, Shakib Al Hasan has further said that he is likely to retir after the 2023 World Cup in India. He has further added that if Bangladesh does not win the next edition of the 50-0ver World Cup, he might play in the 2027 edition as well.

“In the year 2023. It’s my last World Cup. If Bangladesh don’t win, I will continue until 2027. I have no plans of retirement as of now. The prospects are open for the time being. When I will feel I’m not enjoying the sport anymore, then I will retire. And until the time I feel I am enjoying, I will continue,” Shakib said.
