Team India registered a brilliant victory against Pakistan in their opening clash of the 2022 Asia Cup on Sunday, August 28 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. They chased down 148 runs in the final over to secure two points in the tournament. Since they arrived in Dubai for the tournament, the Indian cricketers have brought a smile to their fans’ faces, with their sweet gestures.
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma interacted with a group of fans following India’s practice session before the Pakistan match. He gave a few autographs and also promised one of the fans a signed jersey post the conclusion of the tournament when the fan asked for one. Rohit Sharma said replying to the fan’s request,
“Dunga dunga pakka dunga (will give you, surely).
When another fan asked, “Rohit bhai kab denge? (When will you give it)”, the Indian skipper responded, “Arey series toh khatam hone do bhai…(let the series end first)”

Rohit Sharma has always been adored by the fans for his sweet nature. In another video, which went viral a few days back, the 35-year-old gave a hug to a fan during India’s practice session at the ground. He also shook hands with the fans present there to witness the training session.

Team India skipper Rohit Sharma was in a joyous mood after their win against Pakistan on Sunday. He expressed that the team had faith that they would win the match, even when they were in a spot of bother. Hardik Pandya played a brilliant knock of 33 runs, smashing a six in the final over to take India over the line. Rohit Sharma stated that he would take such close wins any day, over usual victories.
“Halfway through the chase, we still knew that we can win irrespective of the situation. We had the belief and when you have that belief, these things can happen. It’s about giving clarity to the guys so that they know their roles well. It was a bit challenging but I’ll take wins like this any day over usual victories,” said Rohit Sharma as quoted by Cricbuzz.
