Team India both men, and women have landed in the United Kingdom on June 3 (Thursday) morning for their individual series. The entire Indian contingent checked into their cricket ground-cum-hotel in Southampton. They will now have to undergo a mandatory quarantine period before getting on with their respective training schedule.
The 24-member Indian men’s side and the 20-member women’s squad left for the UK from Mumbai in a chartered flight. They landed in the Heathrow airport and traveled almost 130 kilometers from London to Southampton in team buses. The Hilton at the Ageas Bowl will be the home for Indian cricketers for the next couple of days.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently shared unseen footage of Team India’s entire journey from Mumbai to Southampton. The cricketers shared anecdotes from the journey while the women cricketers were seen having fun on the flight before they crashed into their hotel rooms to recover.
