England Test captain Ben Stokes and ICC No 1 ranked Test batsman Marnus Labuschagne faced off against each other in the ongoing match between Durham and Glamorgan. Ben Stokes was floored by Marnus Labuschagne. This moment caught the attention of cricket fans.
Marnus Labuschagne who ideally is a leg spinner tried his hands as a medium pacer. He bowled a short ball to the England Test Captain. Ben Stokes wanted to pull the ball but he missed the ball completely. It took the inside edge of the bat and hit him on the box.
Ben Stokes looked in immense pain after this. He fell down on the ground as soon as the ball hit him in the box. Nobody expected that a short ball delivery from Marnus would completely deceive Stokes and he would lie down on the ground. Labuschagne quickly rushed over to him and asked if Stokes was fine.

Stokes has been in amazing form in the ongoing County season. The England Test skipper played a brilliant knock against Worcestershire in the previous match. He smashed 161 runs in 88 balls against Worcestershire and created the record of the fastest century in county cricket.
Ben Stokes confirms the batting position of Joe Root
The first big test for Stokes as England Test captain would be against New Zealand in a three-match Test series in England. Stokes recently announced that Joe Root would bat at No. 4 batting position in the England Test team, while Stokes himself would take up the No. 6 batting position.
“I’ve already spoken with him. I’ve asked him to go back to four and I’m going to be at six. Wherever Joe bats, he gets runs, but his best position is at four. I feel him at four and me at six gives us a bit of experience in the gap.” Ben Stokes said regarding his batting position.
