Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals will face each other in Match 9 of IPL 2022. The game will be played at DY Patil Sports Academy Stadium, Navi Mumbai on April 2. It will be an afternoon match. Ahead of the clash, Jasprit Bumrah and Sanju Samson had a fun chat during the practice session.

In a video posted by Rajasthan Royals, Jasprit Bumrah said: “Mere Bat pe Jasprit Bumrah ke sticker hone chahiye. Sticker pe mera name hona chahiye bas. Bhai Test match jeetai hai.” (My name should be on the sticker of the bat. I won a Test match for India with the bat).

Bumrah was talking about the Lord’s test against England in 2021. Mohammed Shami (56 not out) and Bumrah (34 not out) had an unbeaten 89-run partnership in the 2nd innings.

Their contributions with the bat helped India set a target of 272 runs for England. In reply, the hosts bundled out for 120 runs. India registered a historic win. It should be noted that India were trailing after the first innings.

Jasprit Bumrah reunites with Lasith Malinga

Jasprit Bumrah also met Rajasthan Royals’ fast bowling coach Lasith Malinga. Both of them have a great friendship as they played together for Mumbai Indians for many years. Bumrah shared a couple of photos of the both of them together on social media, stating that interacting with a legend like Malinga is always a delight.

Bumrah wrote: “Reliving the good old days. Mali, it’s always a pleasure and fun speaking with you.”
