[WATCH]- Chris Martin Dedicates Special Song To Jasprit Bumrah At Coldplay’s Ahmedabad Concert

Coldplay’s Chris Martin dedicated a special song to Team India’s pace spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah, during the band’s Ahmedabad concert at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Day 2. Bumrah, present at the event, appeared deeply moved by the heartfelt tribute.

Martin created the song to celebrate Bumrah’s prowess, calling him the best bowler in the world, while humorously admitting he doesn’t enjoy watching him dismantle the England cricket team with his fiery deliveries. The song’s lyrics, written by Coldplay’s frontman, were:

“Jasprit, my beautiful brother. The best bowler in the whole of cricket. We do not enjoy watching you destroy England with wicket after wicket.”

The band also played videos on the big screen showcasing Bumrah dismissing Ollie Pope, Ben Duckett, and Ben Stokes during India’s 2024 home Test series against England.

Chris Martin Surprises Jasprit Bumrah with Shoutouts at Coldplay’s Navi Mumbai Concerts

Chris Martin’s admiration for Jasprit Bumrah wasn’t limited to the Ahmedabad concert. The Coldplay frontman also gave multiple shoutouts to the Team India fast bowler during the band’s shows at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium earlier this month.

Bumrah posted a video from the concert on his Instagram, reacting to Martin’s consecutive mentions.

He captioned it: This made me smile! Incredible vibe at the @coldplay concert in Mumbai (from what I’ve seen here) and even more special to be mentioned.”

It’s worth noting that at one of Coldplay’s Navi Mumbai shows, Chris Martin humorously mentioned the band might have to cut their performance short because Bumrah was backstage and eager to bowl at him. During the next concert, the band played a video of Bumrah’s legendary yorker to Ollie Pope on the big screen.
