The Chennai Super Kings have begun training ahead of the Indian Premier League 2022 season. A pre-season camp is being held in Surat for the Chennai Super Kings players.
The defending champions arrived at the Surat Stadium with a rousing welcome from the fans. In a video on Twitter, the Chennai Super Kings fans can be seen cheering for their team and chanting ‘Dhoni…Dhoni’ as the players arrived at the stadium. Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his team have always enjoyed immense fan following, the same was seen in Surat.

The Chennai Super Kings, on Thursday, posted some spinnets from their training camp on Instagram. The likes of Hari Nishaant, Tushar Deshpande, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Robin Uthappa were present during the camp. Mahendra Singh Dhoni also hit the ground running on Thursday. The Chennai Super Kings skipper was seen taking on the bowlers, during the training session.

Chennai Super Kings to play the IPL 2022 opener against Kolkata Knight Riders
The Board of Control for Cricket in India, last week, released the Indian Premier League 2022 schedule. The defending champions, Chennai Super Kings will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in the opening clash of the season.
Chennai Super Kings is in Group B, along with Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, and Gujarat Titans. They will play two matches each against these four teams. Chennai will play two matches against their arch-rivals Mumbai Indians, and one match each against Kolkata Knight Riders, Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, and Lucknow Supergiants.
The defending champions will be keen to add another title to their Indian Premier League wins tally this year.
