How was the first phase of IPL 2021 for Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
Chennai Super Kings had an amazing outing in the first phase of Indian Premier League 2021. The MS Dhoni-led side was able to bag a victory in 5 out of 7 games. Notably, CSK had a very poor run in IPL 2020, the 2020 season of IPL was undoubtedly the worst season for the franchise. As the team was unable to qualify in the playoffs.
However, things were completely different in IPL 2021. As all the senior players looked in great form especially the new recruit Moeen Ali did wonders for a team with the bat. Also, Indian players in CSK did an exceptional job and helped the team reach the number 2 spot in the standings when the IPL 2021 was suspended.
Notably, the two matches CSK lost in the first phase of IPL 2021, among that one match was a thrilling encounter against Mumbai Indians. Meanwhile, the first match of the IPL 2021 UAE leg will be between two giants, Dhoni-led CSK and Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians on 19 September.
