Royal Challengers Bangalore wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik dropped an easy catch of Jos Buttler against the Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in the second qualifier of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 match. The batter went to score his fourth hundred of the season.

Jos Buttler opened the innings along with Yashasvi Jaiswal for the Rajasthan Royals. The duo started off brilliantly, scoring 61 runs off the first five overs. However, Jaiswal was sent back to the hut by Josh Hazlewood. Buttler then continued batting assault from the other end, taking on the other end.

In the eleventh over, Harshal Patel got Jos Buttler to edge the ball, as he went for a drive. However, the wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik, dropped a regulation catch, as Buttler got a lucky reprieve on 67 runs. The in-form batter went on to score 106 runs off 60 balls, including ten boundaries and six sixes.

Rajasthan Royals storm into the finals of IPL 2022

The Rajasthan Royals won the second Qualifier against the Royal Challengers Bangalore by seven wickets. They have secured a spot in the finals of IPL 2022.

Earlier in the match, Rajasthan Royal skipper Sanju Samson won the toss and elected to bowl first. The Royal Challengers Bangalore put on 157 runs on the board in the first innings. Rajat Patidar was the top scorer with 58 runs off 42 balls, while Maxwell also played a good hand with 24 runs.

Prasidh Krishna and Obed McCoy were the picks of the bowlers for the Rajasthan Royals. They picked three wickets each in their respective four overs. The Rajasthan Royals will take on Gujarat Titans in the finals of the Indian Premier League 2022 season on Sunday, May 29 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
