England and New Zealand are facing each other in the 2nd Test match at Trent Bridge in the ongoing Test series between both the teams. Joe Root hit an amazing century on the 3rd day of the ongoing Test match. Root played a brilliant knock of 176 runs.

Joe brought back England in the test match after New Zealand posted a huge total in the first innings. This knock of Root has helped England score 539 runs in reply to the first innings score of New Zealand. Joe Root once again played a counter attacking knock in pressure situations for England.

England women cricketers were also present at Trent Bridge in Nottingham to watch the test match. When Joe reached his milestone of century, England women cricketers looked happy and celebrated the century of former England Test skipper. 

They were seen appreciating the masterclass knock of Joe Root. Katherine Brunt and her partner Nat Sciver were seen having a laugh together. Commentator Isa Guha too was present with them. She too applauded for Joe. Barmy Army posted a video of it on their social media account:

Recently Joe became the latest member of the 10,000 run club in Test cricket. He achieved this milestone when he reached his century in the previous match in a run chase. Joe Root currently is going through his peak form of life where he is scoring centuries for fun.

Joe Root grabbed the man of the match award in the first match. In the post match presentation , Joe Root said: “I always feel that we get great support and appreciation whether home or away and it is nice to see them (crowd). I just want to keep batting as long as I can, and win as many games for my side. As long as I have the energy and drive to do it, i will do it.”
