The 2022 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has finally come to an end. It was an entertaining tournament which lasted for two months involving 10 different IPL franchises across India. Every IPL team gave their best but Gujarat Titans (GT) emerged as the winner of IPL 2022.Â
Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets in the final of IPL 2022. Hardik Pandya played the most crucial role in this win for Gujarat. It was a mega final at Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad. More than 1 lakh people attended this mega clash in the stadium.
There was an amazing atmosphere in the Narendra Modi stadium. The BCCI also organised a closing ceremony to mark the end of this IPL season. Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh and famous Singer AR Rahman stole the limelight in the closing ceremony. AR Rahman sang the ‘Vande Mataram’ song in the closing ceremony.
It was a brilliant sight to watch 1 Lakh people sing together the ‘Vande Mataram’ song. New Zealand pacer Trent Boult too was seen enjoying the song. Boult was in awe of this patriotic song and it gave him goosebumps. When the camera focused on Trent, he gave a cheeky smile reaction to it.Â

“This is right example for any team” – Captain Hardik Pandya praises his Gujarat Titans teammates
In the final, Rajasthan Royals managed to score just 130 runs while batting first. Hardik Pandya grabbed three crucial Wickets of Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson and Shimron Hetmyer. He broke the back of Rajasthan.
With the bat too, Hardik played a smart knock of 34 runs in 30 balls to guide Gujarat to title win. He grabbed the player of the match award in IPL 2022 final.
Hardik looked delighted with this win. He said “This is the right example for any team in the world. If you can play as a team and build a good unit with genuine people around, wonders can happen. A lot of times we won the games as well, but we always spoke about what are the things we missed out and how we can get better from here. Everyone chipped in. Count myself lucky, winning 5 finals, it’s been exciting.”
