Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Hardik Pandya was recently seen imitating teammate Rashid Khan’s bowling action ahead of their game against Rajasthan Royals (RR). Incidentally, the Titans prevailed over Sanju Samson and Co. to occupy the top spot in the IPL 2022 points table.

The Afghan spin wizard is arguably the best spinner going around at present. He is known for accuracy and also boasts a tricky bowling action but Hardik Pandya imitated it to perfection. The India all-rounder came up with an exactly accurate bowling action to that of Rashid Khan as the cricketers were warming up.

Rashid couldn’t stop laughing and even tried the Gujarat captain to stop him from imitating his action. But Hardik Pandya did an excellent job and even replicated his appeal to perfection, leaving everyone in splits.

Speaking of the game, an all-round show from Hardik Pandya helped Gujarat trump Rajasthan Royals, who are touted as one of the best teams in the competition. He scored an unbeaten 87 with the bat before affecting a runout and picking up the wicket of James Neesham as Gujarat drowned Rajasthan Royals by 37 runs.

Batting first, the Gujarat franchise posted 192 runs on the board before restricting them to 155 runs, winning the match by 37 runs. Debutant Yash Dayal and Lockie Ferguson returned with three wickets each to wrap up the game.

It allows me to be the flag bearer – Hardik Pandya of captaincy

Meanwhile, the 28-year-old ace all-rounder is also enjoying the leadership duties as he always likes to assume responsibilities. Hardik was also part of the leadership group when he was a part of the Mumbai Indians squad.

Speaking at the post-match presentation ceremony, he stated: “Captaincy is always fun because it allows me to take responsibility and be the flag-bearer. I’m very happy with the way the group is shaping up to be. They are carrying one another. That’s the motto of the team as well. I wanted everyone to be happy for each other’s success and play as a team. That’s something that’s working for us.”

Gujarat Titans will play their next game against the Chennai Super Kings on Sunday at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
