The Gujarat Titans (GT) skipper Hardik Pandya and the right arm leggie Rashid Khan joined their GT teammates Sai Sudharsan, Vijay Shankar, and Sai Kishore, in a fun musical session. The GT players shaped a ‘band’ and sang the well-known Tamil song ‘Why This Kolaveri Di’.

The song became a sensational hit only some years back for its exceptional vocal manner. The song was sung by famous Tamil actor Dhanush for a soundtrack of the 2012 Tamil film ‘3’, starring Dhanush himself and Shruthi Hassan. It became one of the most streamed songs of all time and has over 300 million views on YouTube.

The GT franchise shared the video of players singing the song via their official Twitter handle. The Titans’ official YouTube channel posted the same video naming it ‘Band of Titans’. In the video, players, rendering the song, seemed to have a great time.

On their social media handles, GT posted the video with a caption, “Let’s have some (music emoji) to celebrate this special #SeasonOfFirsts  #TitansFAM, presenting our very own boy band with a song for the ages.”

Gujarat Titans having a dream run in maiden IPL season

Besides, GT has had an extraordinary debut Indian Premier League (IPL) season so far. Titans are at the top of the points table with mighty 20 points from 13 games. The Pandya-led franchise is the first team to qualify for the play-offs of the IPL 2022.

Hardik Pandya and Co. will face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for their final group stage clash, on Thursday, May 29, at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The Titans are already into the playoffs, will look to keep the first position for further calculations; while RCB, the number five team for now will be keen to relive hopes of the playoffs, as Delhi Capitals’ (DC) recent victory against Punjab Kings turned tables around.

Even if RCB wins this clash against GT, their playoffs race will depend on DC’s match against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Saturday, May 21, as DC’s net run rate is better than RCB.
