Indian pacer Akash Deep received a warm reception from his Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) teammates upon joining their camp after recovering from a lower back injury. The Bengal fast bowler sustained the injury during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) last December and had been sidelined ever since.

He missed LSG’s first three matches of IPL 2025 while undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). After receiving clearance from the BCCI medical team, Akash Deep recently traveled to Lucknow and reunited with the LSG squad ahead of their IPL 2025 clash against Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on Friday, April 4.

This season marks Akash Deep’s debut with the Super Giants, who secured him for ₹8 crores at the IPL 2025 mega-auction after an intense bidding war. The franchise shared a heartwarming video on Thursday via their official X (formerly Twitter) handle, updating excited fans about his arrival in the squad. You can watch the video here:
