Jasprit Bumrah was seen hilariously imitating the mannerism of Steve Smith on the opening day of the Sydney Test. Usually, it is an event whenever Steve Smith bats in Test cricket. His leaves and shouts of ‘No Run’ still leave everyone puzzled. Especially the fast bowlers as they always have a smile on their face after Smith is done playing the delivery.
Another addition to that list was of Bumrah today as he was seen mimicking Smith after bowling to him. Bumrah was indicating the way Smith was shuffling around the crease after entertainingly defending the ball. Even Mohammed Siraj couldn’t control his laughter as he too was in splits after seeing the actions of Bumrah.
Jasprit Bumrah Entertains And Imitates Steve Smith
As soon as Smith walked out the bat, Indian skipper Ajinkya Rahane gave the ball to his strike bowler Bumrah. It was a brilliant contest between bat and ball as Jasprit Bumrah bowled attacking lines and Smith battled it out against him in a fascinating contest. Smith managed to play out the spell of Bumrah and finally got some much-needed form back.
It was a very slow opening day of the SCG Test as the Aussie batsmen batted comfortably on a flat pitch. The Indian bowlers tried their heart out but weren’t able to pick regular wickets. Only 55 bowlers were bowled on an opening day as Australia finished with 166-2. Steve Smith is unbeaten on 31 with Labuschagne who will resume day 2 on 67 runs.
Meanwhile, team India is again expected to give the ball to Jasprit Bumrah early on tomorrow morning against Smith. The fast bowler dismissed Smith on 8 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground with a leg stump line which he will be again looking to execute.
Day 2 will begin 30 minutes earlier than the usual time to make up time for the overs lost on the opening day of the Test match due to showers.
