Mumbai Indians (MI) pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah turned heads during a recent net session, showcasing his batting skills with a series of powerful shots ahead of their IPL 2025 clash against Delhi Capitals (DC).
The two sides are scheduled to meet in the 63rd match of the season on Wednesday, May 21, at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. As part of the team’s preparation, Jasprit Bumrah stepped into the nets and unleashed some big hits.
On Saturday, May 17, MI shared a clip of the session on their official Instagram handle, highlighting the unexpected power-hitting display.

Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians currently hold the fourth spot on the points table with 14 points from 12 matches, while Delhi Capitals follow closely in fifth place with 13 points from 11 games. Jasprit Bumrah has been in top form with the ball this season.
The star pacer has featured in eight matches, picking up 13 wickets, with his best performance being a 4/22 spell against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 27. Over the course of his IPL career, Bumrah has played 141 matches and taken 178 wickets, including two five-wicket hauls.
Mumbai Indians Clinch 12-Run Win Over Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025
The Mumbai Indians (MI) are set to take on the Delhi Capitals (DC) on Wednesday, May 21, at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. This match will be a reverse fixture, following their earlier encounter in the 29th game of the season held on April 13 in Delhi.
Batting first, Mumbai put up an impressive total of 205/5, with Tilak Varma starring with a quickfire 59 off 33 deliveries, including six boundaries and three sixes. In response, Abishek Porel (33) and Karun Nair (89) gave Delhi a strong start, guiding them to 140/3 by the 12th over.
However, Mumbai’s bowling unit staged a remarkable turnaround, reducing Delhi from 135/3 to 193 all out. The visitors clinched a 12-run victory, with Karn Sharma emerging as the key bowler, claiming three wickets.
