Australian women’s team registered their third win of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 on Sunday against New Zealand. They won the match by a huge margin of 141 runs, at the Basin Reserve in Wellington.
During the match, New Zealand batter, Maddy Green’s stunning effort in the field, earned praise on social media. In the 45th over of the first innings, Australian batter, Ellyse Perry cleared her front leg, to slam a brilliant shot off the middle of the bat.
She didn’t bother to run, assuming it to be at least a boundary. However, Maddy Green ran in from the long-on, and dived to her left, to complete a stunning, air-borne catch.
