The first day of India vs Sri Lanka pink-ball Test at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru witnessed a lot of action. A total of 16 wickets fell on Saturday in the match, making it the highest for a day-night game. The crowd was also entertained by Virat Kohli’s interesting actions on the field.

On Saturday, the former Indian skipper was seen imitating Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling action, which left the teammates in splits. Virat’s mimicry has gone viral on social media.

Virat Kohli kept the fans in the stadium hooked with his actions. In another instance during the game, Kohli pulled up his India shirt to reveal red-colored apparel below it, when the fans started chanting for RCB.

Earlier in the match, Kohli received a grand welcome to the crease, with chants of “Kohli…..Kohli” buzzing in the stadium.

Shreyas Iyer’s classy knock powers India to 252

Middle-order batter, Shreyas Iyer proved his class once again in the red-ball format on Saturday. Playing against Sri Lanka in the day-night test match, Shreyas slammed 92 runs, falling short of a well-deserved century.

The right-hander came out to bat when India was in a spot of bother, having lost four wickets for 86 runs. He played with positive intent on a tough batting wicket. Iyer’s 92-runs knock included 10 boundaries and 4 sixes. He was stumped by Niroshan Dickwella, off Praveen Jayawickrama. India was bowled out for 252 runs in the first innings.

In reply, Sri Lanka is six down for 86 runs. Jasprit Bumrah has picked up three wickets, with Shami bagging two. Niroshan Dickwella and Lasith Embuldeniya will resume the Sri Lanka innings on day two.
