Former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli unveiled the new jersey on Saturday (March 12) ahead of IPL 2022. The new shit has a perfect blend of red and dark blue, their primary colours.
While the t-shirt has been dominated by dark blue color with the sponsor’s name in the middle, the lower is mainly in red color. The franchise took to their social media handles to reveal the stunning jersey, the cricketers will wear in the 15th edition of the cash-rich league.
Virat Kohli also looked elated with the new jersey in a video shared by RCB. He said:
“Hi guys, I hope you guys are doing okay. As you can see I have the new RCB jersey on. First and foremost, I love the design, I love how the dark blue blends into the red and the detailing of the jersey is amazing.”
“I absolutely love it and the moment I wore it, I felt something special. I can definitely say, this is my most favourite RCB jersey, EVER!” 🤩

Meanwhile, RCB fans seemed extremely delighted with the new design and many even touted is as the best jersey in the history of the franchise.

The three-time IPL finalists have appointed former South African captain Faf du Plessis as their new captain ahead of IPL 2022. The position was vacant after Virat Kohli had relinquished his leadership duties after IPL 2021.
He brings in a tons of experience having captained South Africa in 115 internationals out of which the country emerged victorious 81 times. The Proteas won 25 of the 40 T20Is played under du Plessis. In 2020 February, du Plessis gave up South Africa’s captaincy across formats.
He will hop to change RCB’s fortunes in the competition as they still chase their maiden IPL title.
RCB will begin their IPL 2022 campaign against Punjab Kings on March 27 at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.
