[WATCH]- Mohammad Amir Performs The Iconic ‘Pushpa’ Celebration After Dismissing Rohan Mustafa In ILT20 2025

Desert Vipers pacer Mohammad Amir pulled off the famous ‘Pushpa’ celebration after dismissing Rohan Mustafa of the Sharjah Warriors during the 15th match of the International League T20 (ILT20) 2025. The match took place on Wednesday, January 22, at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Amir bowled a full-length delivery angling towards the pads on the final ball of the third over of the Warriors’ innings. Mustafa tried to flick it to the leg side but mistimed his shot, resulting in a leading edge that floated to mid-off, where Sam Curran comfortably completed the catch.

Amir then marked the dismissal by performing the iconic ‘Thaggede le’ move from the movie Pushpa 2. You can watch the video here:

The Vipers opted to bowl first after winning the toss, and Mohammad Amir delivered a sensational opening spell. He dismissed Johnson Charles (4) and Avishka Fernando (0) in the very first over and then sent Rohan Mustafa back for just two in his second over, reducing the Sharjah Warriors to a precarious 15/3 after three overs.

David Payne struck in the next over, removing Tom Kohler-Cadmore for nine. Luke Wells (11) and Tim Seifert (9) followed with low scores, while Ashton Agar (1) and Harmeet Singh (11) also failed to make an impact. Despite Jason Roy’s valiant effort, remaining unbeaten on 30 off 34 balls, Sharjah were bundled out for a mere 91 runs in 19.1 overs.

Fakhar Zaman leads Desert Vipers to dominant 10-wicket victory in ILT20 2025 clash

Chasing a modest target of 92, Desert Vipers openers Fakhar Zaman and Alex Hales started aggressively, smashing 14 runs off Tim Southee’s first over. Fakhar shifted into top gear, helping the duo reach the 50-run mark in just six overs. The Pakistani batter reached his half-century in just 30 balls.

Fakhar wrapped up the game in style by smashing consecutive sixes, securing a dominant 10-wicket win for the Vipers with 60 balls to spare. He remained unbeaten on 71 off 39 deliveries, including seven fours and four sixes, while Hales contributed 23* off 21 balls.
