India fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has stepped into the hospitality industry with the launch of his new restaurant in Hyderabad. On Tuesday, June 17, Siraj took to Instagram to announce the opening of his fine dining establishment, ‘Joharfa – Taste Above the Rest.’
Situated in the posh Banjara Hills area on Road No. 3, the restaurant offers a range of cuisines including Mughlai, Persian, Arabian, and Chinese.
The 31-year-old cricketer also shared a post on Instagram.

Mohammed Siraj last played in IPL 2025, where he represented Gujarat Titans after being released by RCB. Bought for ₹12.25 crore, he took 16 wickets in 15 matches with 151 dot balls—the most in the season. GT reached the playoffs but lost to MI in the Eliminator. Siraj is now part of India’s squad for the England Test series starting June 20 at Headingley.

Ex-bowling coach Bharat Arun feels Mohammed Siraj should aim to become India’s lead pacer, calling the England Test series a key chance to prove himself. He praised Siraj’s IPL 2025 form and said his success will depend on his mindset.
“It’s a great opportunity for Siraj. He’s got enough experience under his belt. I have seen him bowl some exceptional spells, like the one he bowled in the Lord’s Test, which we won last time. It’s time for Siraj to put his hand up and say, ‘I’m going to be the frontline bowler of our country’.”
“He’s got the skill set. It’s now what kind of mindset he has that is going to be vital. He’s pretty smart. Siraj is someone who can be a captain’s delight who will give his all. It’s good to be aggressive, but controlling it is going to be key. He’s had a good IPL. He looked in good rhythm.”
