Paramjit Singh, MS Dhoni’s childhood friend, suggests that Dhoni can extend his IPL career for one more season

Dhoni is presently gearing up for the upcoming Indian Premier League season after guiding CSK to their fifth IPL title in the 2023 season.

While some experts and fans speculate that the 2024 edition might mark the Indian legend’s farewell season in the T20 league, his childhood friend Paramjit Singh believes Dhoni is in good enough shape to participate in the 2025 edition as well.

“I do not think this will be his (Dhoni’s) last season. He is still fit. I think he will play one or two more seasons. He will definitely play one more season. The reason is he is fit,” Paramjit said during a during an interview with OneCricket.

Paramjit played a significant role in Dhoni’s early career, even helping him secure one of his initial bat sponsorship deals. In a recent practice session video for IPL 2024, the CSK captain was spotted using a bat adorned with the ‘Prime Sports’ sticker, representing a sports shop owned by Paramjit.

Chennai is set to commence their IPL title defense with a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on March 22.
