IPL 2021 was postponed due to the outbreak of Covid-19 in the bio bubble. This premature end to the tournament meant everyone returned home. This gave many cricketers like MS Dhoni more time to spend with his family. On his return home, Dhoni also got the opportunity to spend time with his horse Chetak for the first time.

Ahead of Dhoni’s return, the former India skipper’s wife Sakshi had shared the pictures and video of Chetak, welcoming him at their Ranchi farmhouse. Chetak got to interact with Dhoni’s pet dogs too at the farmhouse and Sakshi was duly pleased.

“Welcome Home Chetak! A true Gentleman esp when you met Lilly! Happily accepted in our pack!” Sakshi had written alongside the video.

When Dhoni got the opportunity to spend time with Chetak, some adorable scenes unfolded. Sakshi shared the video of his wife petting the horse.

MS Dhoni and CSK bounced back

In 2020 MS Dhoni’s men had a poor outing in the tournament, but they turned this around in this edition. They looked at their absolute best in 2021.  Before the season had to be suspended, the Super Kings had won 5 of their 7 games and were placed second in the IPL Season 14 standings.

The former India skipper himself did bat much in the tournament as he promoted Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran ahead of him on numerous occasions. Even though he did not look at his best Dhoni surely entertained his fans with a few cameos.

Even though he did not bat much, he did show us his leadership skills in the tournament. MS Dhoni is called one of the best cricketing brains of all time and he showed us why. His tactical acumen is impeccable. When the IPL 2021 season resumes, fans are hoping to see Dhoni display some of his old firepowers with the bat too.
