Watch: Mumbai Indians’ Pacer Jofra Archer Hits The Nets, Starts Training

England pacer Jofra Archer on Wednesday hit the batting nets and has started training. The Mumbai Indians posted a batting video of him on their social media platform.

Jofra Archer has been away from the sport due to an elbow injury for a long time. A few months back, a second surgery was performed on his right elbow. In the video uploaded on Instagram, Archer can be seen batting in the nets. The Mumbai Indians wrote:

“That flow with the blade in hand. Can’t wait to see you in 🔝 gear @jofraarcher! 🏹 #OneFamily #MumbaiIndians”

Despite being out of action for a long time, Jofra Archer was in demand at the Indian Premier League auctions held last month in Bengaluru. He was signed by the Mumbai Indians for Rs 8 crores. However, his participation in the Indian Premier League 2022 is doubtful.

The England Cricket Board, since the start, has maintained that Jofra Archer will not be available for the 2022 IPL season. The Mumbai Indians decided to sign Jofra Archer by keeping a long-term vision in mind, said owner Nita Ambani.

On Wednesday, the England pacer also uploaded his bowling run-up video from the training session on his Instagram profile. The video signals at Jofra Archer will soon return back to the sport.
