Pakistan defeated Australia in the recent ODI series 2-1. After the 3rd match, the team was getting pictures clicked along with the trophy. But in the process, the players got a little too excited and the winner’s board collapsed. All the players in the front row also fell. The funny moment went viral on social media in no time.

Pakistan defeat Australia by 9 wickets in the 3rd ODI

Pakistan won the toss and opted to field in the 3rd ODI. Australia got bowled out for 210. Alex Carey (56 off 61) was the top-scorer. Sean Abbott also contributed with 49 runs. Mohammad Wasim Jr and Haris Rauf picked 3 wickets each.

Pakistan easily chased down the total and won the match by 9 wickets. Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq had an unbeaten 190-run partnership for the second wicket. Imam scored 89* and Babar made a century (105*).

Babar was adjudged Man of the Match. He also got the ‘Man of the Series’ award. Babar amassed 276 runs in the 3-match series at an average of 138 and 100+ Strike Rate.

Babar said during the post-match presentation: “You need confidence after losing the first game. The credit goes to the players as they took responsibility and showed good efforts with the ball and the bat. When you get early wickets, there is pressure on the opposition. Almost every bowler of ours executed their plans. There is pressure but you should trust your game. I try to take most of the pressure and back my boys.”

Australia and Pakistan will play the last match (Only T20I) of the tour on April 5.
