[WATCH]- Ravindra Jadeja Plays A Prank On Fans By Walking Out To Bat Ahead Of MS Dhoni

Ravindra Jadeja played a harmless joke on CSK fans at Chepauk by going out to bat instead of MS Dhoni. The fans at Chepauk enjoyed a delightful victory as Chennai Super Kings secured a decisive seven-wicket win against the Kolkata Knight Riders.

Just before Ruturaj Gaikwad hit the winning runs, MS Dhoni was about to bat, but fans almost missed seeing their former captain as Ravindra Jadeja played a playful prank on them. CSK were confidently heading towards a definite win; it was only a matter of time.

Shivam Dube played exceptionally well, accelerating the chase with 28 runs off 18 balls, while other batters found it challenging to increase the scoring rate. KKR’s pacer, Vaibhav Arora, dismissed Dube, leaving the home side requiring only three runs to win with three overs left.

A fan’s video captured Ravindra Jadeja, fully geared up and seemingly ready to bat, heading towards the field. However, as he reached the stairs, he turned back, sharing a laugh with the CSK team, including Jadeja himself.

The Yellow Army, known for its large fanbase, anticipated a strong finish from MS Dhoni, but he only managed to take two singles, passing on the responsibility to the current captain, Ruturaj Gaikwad. Gaikwad sealed the victory with a boundary towards the point region, securing their third win in five games.

This marks their third home victory, with all their points earned at Chepauk. They aim to enhance their strategy for away games. Their upcoming match against rivals Mumbai Indians will be held at the Wankhede Stadium on April 14.

Jadeja’s antics delayed Dhoni’s appearance

Jadeja received the player of the match award for his outstanding bowling display, which included taking 3 wickets for 18 runs in 4 overs.

“Always enjoy my bowling on these kind of tracks. Was just looking to bowl in good areas. I’ve practiced a lot here – if you bowl in good areas, it helps you. Takes time for visiting team to settle down and plan something. Difficult for them to come here and identify the surface. We know the conditions very well,” he said after the game.
