Rajasthan Royals (RR) cricketer Riyan Parag produced a brilliant effort in the fielding to catch Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli short of his crease on Wednesday. With this wicket, the Royals have made a comeback in the match in Dubai.
Chasing 150 runs, Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli got RCB to a flying start. They capitalised on the pace of the ball to kickstart the chase before Mustafizur Rahman cleaned up Padikkal (24). Kohli continued the onslaught with the bat before a moment of brilliance from Riyan Parag ended his stay in the middle.

The incident took place in the seventh over of the match as Virat Kohli tapped one to the point off Chris Morris. Riyan Parag produced a brilliant dive to his left to stop the ball but failed to collect it at one go. Kohli tried to sneak in a single but Parag was quick to be on his feet and hit the ball to the non-striker’s end to catch the RCB skipper short of his crease.
Virat Kohli was a bit hesitant to take the run initially and eventually goes for it which caused his dismissal. This will give young Riyan Parag, who is currently short of runs, some much-needed confidence.
