Team India’s wicket-keeper batter Sanju Samson is gearing up for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe. The series begins with the first ODI on Thursday, August 18 at the Harare Sports Club. Ahead of the tour, Sanju Samson participated in a fun rapid-fire round, revealing his unknown nickname and more secrets.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India on Wednesday shared a video on their social media featuring Sanju Samson. The wicket-keeper batter answered some fun questions, revealing his nickname, his favorite sporting personality, and more. In the video, he revealed that he is called “Bappu”, which many are not aware of.

Sanju Samson also spilled the beans on his favorite food, which he cannot eat on tours, as he has to maintain his fitness. Responding to the question, he said,

“Of course, I do enjoy my chocolates which I just avoid before and between the tour. I love eating a lot of things that my mom cooks, which I can’t have right now.”

While choosing between Beaches and Mountains, the right-handed batter picked, “Beach of course. Beach and backwaters. There are a lot of backwaters back home in Kerala. Love spending time in backwaters and also on beaches.”

Sanju Samson reveals whose Instagram feed he finds most interesting

Further, Sanju Samson was asked about his favorite sporting personality. He expressed that there are many, and he has also played with some of them. The 27-year-old added that MS Dhoni is surely one of his favorite sporting personalities. He said,

“There are many, a lot of them whom I have played with. Of course, one is MS Dhoni for sure.”

The Kerala batter also revealed the superpower that he wants to possess. He said, “visiting places within seconds, what you call it? Vanishing”

Revealing the most interesting Instagram feed, Sanju Samson was quick to take spinner Yuzvendra Chahal’s name. Chahal often posts hilarious reels on his Instagram profile. When asked who has a strong Instagram game, Sanju replied,

“Yuzi, I really love watching. Whenever me and my wife, and we are sitting alone at home, we love watching Shikhar Dhawan’s reels. They are really interesting and funny.”
