After a long wait, cricket fans are finally seeing glimpses of their favourite IPL team practising at Chepauk. Leading the way is Chennai Super Kings, as official accounts of the franchise have kept all the fans updated in the last few days.

In the latest video, the Super Kings shared a batting session of ‘Thala’ MS Dhoni. The CSK skipper in the post looked ready for the upcoming IPL as he was executing monstrous sixes at Chepauk.

Meanwhile ‘Chinna Thala’ Suresh Raina was seen celebrating and admiring every shot of his good friend MS Dhoni. Raina, who is known for his selfless act holds high regard for Dhoni and it was once again in display in Chennai. 

“The super camp sorely missed the super fans, thanks to COVID. But we managed to end it with a loud whistle! #WhistlePodu #Yelove”, CSK wrote in the caption. 


The two former India cricketers officially announced their retirement together on India’s independence day on 15th August. Both stalwarts today alongside the entire CSK team departed for UAE to prepare for the upcoming IPL season that will kick off from 19 September.

Moreover, the legendary cricketers received praises from all quarters as everyone acknowledged his incredible career for India. The duo also received a congratulatory message from none other than the Honourable Prime Minister India of Narendra Modi and shared it for all their fans on social media.

MS Dhoni will be again seen leading the Chennai Super Kings side in the upcoming IPL season. He has already led CSK to three IPL titles in the league’s history. Whereas Raina has also been a proven match-winner for the yellow army in the IPL. The Southpaw is currently the second-highest run-scorer in the IPL only behind Virat Kohli.

The two were a major attraction of the CSK preparatory camp that took place from 16-20 August at their home ground in Chennai. CSK will be reaching UAE shortly and will be completing their mandatory quarantine period before they start practising for the 13th edition of the IPL that is all set to be the longest ever.
