With every game in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League, new fielding standards have been set. Young Yashasvi Jaiswal held his composure to dismiss Shreyas Iyer to put Rajasthan Royals on top against Delhi Capitals at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals were back to his elements as soon as they returned to Sharjah. Opting to bowl first, Jofra Archer immediately made his presence count. A tad extra pace in the wicket, the Barbados-born fast bowler cramped Delhi Capitals openers with bouncers.
Archer removed Shikhar Dhawan thanks to a fine catch from Yashasvi Jaiswal before the former struck again to dismiss Prithvi Shaw. Jofra Archer bagged a brilliant catch off his own bowling to put Rajasthan Royals on top. Reeling at 42 for two, the onus was on Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant to build the innings and put up a big total.
Yashasvi Jaiswal hits the bullseye
However, Delhi received another bullet thanks to a brilliant piece of fielding from Yashasvi Jaiswal. The catching and fielding have been of top-class in IPL 2020 and is only getting better.
Shreyas Iyer pushed this towards extra cover and wanted a quick single after the cover fielder failed to collect the ball. Rishabh Pant was hesitant and sent him back after a momentary sprint. The Delhi Capitals skipper though was too far down the pitch and Yashasvi Jaiswal hit the stumps direct with a rifle-like throw.

Brilliant work from the teenager to send Shreyas Iyer back early on. He may not have starred with the bat yet, but he’s done enough in this game already to make his presence felt in the side. Mentor Shane Warne, who was present at the stands looked extremely as Rajasthan Royals badly need this win.
