The coronavirus has gripped the mother earth taking away more than 24000 lives of people. Since spreading from China, it has badly affected Spain, United States of America, and Italy with more than 400000 positive cases across the globe. To curb its spread, many places in the world have gone into lockdown.

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on March 24 (Tuesday) declared a complete lockdown in the country for the next 21 days to curb the spread of the deadly virus. The virus has not only affected human life but has made a massive dent in the economy. Along with COVID-19, people are dying of hunger and other issues.

However, former India skipper Kapil Dev is hopeful that mother earth will come out of this very soon. He feels if people stand together in times such as these, and act responsibly, then it is possible to fight out a pandemic like coronavirus.

“You are supposed to stay at home. So, stay at home. It is the least one can do to help the competent and relevant authorities to fight this life-threatening virus,” Kapil said to Sportstar.

“It can be taken in a positive way. Lockdown or Stay at Home. You have to challenge yourself to accept this situation. You have the world inside your home – your family. You have means of entertaining yourself – books, TV, music. Best is the interaction you have with your family members,” India’s first World Cup-winning skipper added.
