What Would Happen If The CSK Vs GT IPL 2023 Final Was Rained Out?

The final match of the Indian Premier League 2023 will take place on May 28, Sunday, pitting Gujarat Titans against Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings.

The match is scheduled to take place at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium and will be a rematch of the season opener and Qualifier 1. Even though the final summit would be exciting, the final battle could be lost due to the weather’s unpredictability.

Rain delayed the most recent match at the Narendra Modi Stadium by 30 minutes. It’s possible that the final IPL 2023 game will have an effect if the same circumstances continue. The final game on Sunday night in Ahmedabad has a 61% chance of rain.

The scenario is explained as follows

● The game may be postponed for a five-over-per-side battle until 12:26 am IST.
Although efforts will be made to finish the match on May 28 itself, if that doesn’t happen, it will pick up where it left off on May 29 with an additional 120 minutes added to the regular time frames.

● The match will resume from the toss on Monday if the 5-over clash is not also possible on Sunday. A new toss will be made on Monday if only the toss occurs but no game is played.

● The same procedure of a shortened game with the most recent super over decider will be used at 1:20 AM IST (May 30, Tuesday) if the rain in Ahmedabad persists. Gujarat Titans, who finished ahead of Chennai-based franchise in league stage games, will be crowned winners if the game is still impacted by rain on the reserve day.

● The four-time champions, CSK, finished in 10th place the previous season and underwent a complete turnaround to finish in the top two this year. The Gujarat Titans, on the other hand, were led by Hardik Pandya and won their first IPL championship in 2022. They also advanced to their second consecutive final.
