WI vs IND: [WATCH] Joshua Da Silva’s Mother Embraces And Shows Affection To Virat Kohli

During a heartwarming moment, a video captured West Indies wicketkeeper Joshua Da Silva’s mother embracing Indian batsman Virat Kohli and becoming emotional after meeting the cricket superstar.

In the video shared by journalist Vimal Kumar, she expressed her admiration for Kohli, considering him one of the best batsmen of their generation, and felt honoured that her son was playing on the same field as him.

On the first day of the match, the stump microphone captured a conversation between Da Silva and Kohli, where Da Silva excitedly mentioned that his mother was coming to watch the match specifically for Kohli. He couldn’t believe that his mother was so enthusiastic about seeing Kohli play.

Before the end of play on Day 1, Kohli and Da Silva had an intriguing chat. Da Silva encouraged Kohli to reach his century quickly, to which Kohli jokingly responded, asking if Da Silva was obsessed with his milestones. Da Silva expressed his genuine desire to see Kohli achieve his century.

The following day, Kohli’s exceptional performance dominated the first session. He faced the West Indies pacers with ease, accumulating 77 runs in singles, doubles, and triples, in addition to hitting 11 boundaries, including his milestone 100th tonne, which equalled Sir Don Bradman’s record.

The satisfaction on Kohli’s face while raising his bat and taking a bow reflected the significance of scoring his first overseas Test century in five years. Kohli’s brilliance was evident in his game awareness, as he strategically scored 45 singles and 13 doubles in challenging playing conditions.

Nine of his 11 boundaries were on the off-side, with his signature cover drive showcased repeatedly. Overall, it was an extraordinary display of skill and determination from the cricket legend.
