Indian Women cricketer Priya Punia revealed her cricketing idols in a recent Instagram chat. When asked about her cricketing idol she named Virat Kohli and Rahul Dravid in her response. Kohli is in Australia at the moment gearing up for a vital series against the Men in Yellow. This will be India’s first cricketing assignment in the post-COVID era. They will be playing 3 ODIs, 3 T20Is and four Test matches starting from November 27.

Talking about Kohli and Dravid, both are two of the most famous names in world cricket. Dravid played for India between 1996 to 2011. He scored over 10000 runs 344 ODIs. He was known as ”The Wall” in Test cricket and was a part of India’s Fab 5 of his generation. In 164 Tests Dravid scored 13288 runs.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli is among the modern greats at the moment. he too is a part of the Fab 4 of his generation including Kane Williamson, Stee Smith, Joe Root and himself in the list. He is the only batsman to average above 50 in all three formats at the moment. Kohli has already scored 70 international centuries and is closing in on Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 100 international centuries.

Kohli has already scored 21, 901 international runs and is on track to chase down Sachin Tendulkar‘s tally of 34, 347 runs. He is currently sixth in the list of highest run-scorers in ODIs.

Virat Kohli will be playing the entire limited-overs leg and will return after the first Test against Australia. Many cricket experts are seeing this as a big opportunity for the Aussies to regain the Border-Gavaskar trophy in the absence of the Indian skipper.

Meanwhile, Priya Punia recently played for the Supernovas in the Women’s T20 Challenge held in the UAE. She scored 41 runs in two games at a strike rate of 78.54.
