The summit clash between two top sides in Test Cricket for winning the inaugural World Test Championship title resumed once again on Day 5. Because of rain god’s being not in a good mood the Day 1 and Day 4 of the ICC World Test Championship was completely washed out.
The weather was promising on Day 5 which led New Zealand to start batting once again with Ross Taylor and Kane Williamson on the crease. The fifth day was filled with funny moments like Jasprit Bumrah wearing the wrong jersey at the start of the match and changing it after realizing it and The seam bowler; Mohammad Shami was getting a lot of swings. However, it was an exhilarating battle between ball and bat.
The temperature was were chilled in Southampton, it was touching around 14°C. The Mumbai-based cricketers like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were feeling quite cold because of the habit of living in hot weather. The duo of Captain Virat Kohli and white-ball cricket deputy Rohit Sharma was seen wearing sweaters most of the time. Meanwhile, they were seen feeling the climate more than other teammates.
In the footage skipper Virat Kohli was seen rubbing his hands together and heating himself. Rohit Sharma gave a hilarious reaction after watching Kohli doing that stuff. Rohit pointing towards Kohli suggested that there was not very much cold like Virat’s reaction indicated.

India win the morning session of day 5
Mohammed Shami was the star for India picking two crucial wickets on the morning session of day 5 after a delayed start. He first removed Ross Taylor thanks to a brilliant catch from Shubman Gill before Ishant Sharma got rid of Henry Nicholls.
The Bengal pacer came back to clean BJ Watling with a peach of a delivery to put the Black Caps on the back foot before going to lunch at 135/5.
