Team India has started their preparation in the UK for the upcoming ICC World Test Championship final against New Zealand starting June 18.

Team India has started their preparation in the UK for the upcoming ICC World Test Championship final. The Asian Giants lock horns with New Zealand in the marquee clash at the Rose Bowl in Southampton, which starts on June 18.

India landed in the UK on June 3 and underwent a strict quarantine at the Hilton in Southampton. Post a three-day quarantine, cricketers started training in clusters until June 9 when they had a full training session. The cricketers looked good and in fine touch ahead of the title clash.

The emotionally charged video begins with shots of the stadium and the Dukes ball, before capturing Virat Kohli as the Indian skipper makes his way onto the field. A pensive Rishabh Pant is seen deep in thought next, while a focused Ajinkya Rahane hits the nets wearing the retro India sweater.

It is time for Rohit Sharma to make an appearance next, as Hitman gets going while Ravichandran Ashwin rolls his arm over as well. The one-minute 12-second long clip features all of India’s stars, with the fast bowlers seen bowling at full tilt.

Team India also took part in fielding drills on Wednesday, with Shubman Gill’s slip-catching practice effort praised by others as well. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared some clips from the session to set up the mood of the fans ahead of the big clash. They captioned:

We have had our first group training session and the intensity was high #TeamIndia’s preparations are on in full swing for the #WTC21 Final

Meanwhile, going into the much-awaited clash, India have the problem of plenty. The management will have to pick on between Shubman Gill and Mayank Agarwal, who will partner with Rohit Sharma at the top of the order. Also, Ravi Shastri will have difficulty picking the right combinations – two spinners, or pick one spinner and go with an extra fast bowler.
