Yuzvendra Chahal And Dhanashree Verma Are Officially Divorced Now!

Yuzvendra Chahal, Indian leg spinner and Dhanashree Verma are officially divorced. The court granted the divorce on March 20, 2025. This was confirmed by the lawyer of Yuzvendra Chahal. The update was shared by ANI on a social media post in which Chahal’s lawyer confirmed that the parties (Chahal and Dhanashree) are no longer husband and wife. You can watch the video below.

Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma: How Long Were They Married

Chahal and Verma were married for a little over four years. They had tied the knot on December 20, 2020. Now they are no longer husband and wife. While both personalities have stayed quiet about the reasons they are splitting, the social media is quite frustrated with the alimony that the court has granted Dhanashree.

Dhanashree has been rewarded Rs 4.75 crore as alimony by the court. The leg spinner and Dhanashree have often been seen as a misfit by the online world. Chahal will continue to play cricket in the IPL (Indian Premier League) and in domestic tournaments organised by the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India).

Why are they divorcing?

There are multiple reports online which suggest that the two have been living apart for the last several months. The online media says that it is due to compatibility issues between the two.

The only thing that we know is that since the two have stayed quiet about the reasons, we can’t assume anything. Chahal, once a regular for the Indian side, is now mostly playing domestic cricket. Chahal’s entry to the team has become harder in the recent years as Kuldeep has been the first pick of the selectors and the management for the crucial tournaments.

There is still plenty of opportunity for Chahal to take his career into yet another growth phase. The leg spinner will feature for Punjab Kings in IPL 2025 and was sold for Rs 18 crore during the auctions.
