Opener Devdutt Padikkal has turned out to be one of the biggest assets for the Virat Kohli-led franchise. Devdutt made his debut for RCB in 2020 and impressed everyone in his first IPL season. Padikkal scored 473 runs in IPL 2020 with an average of 31.53 including five marvelous fifties.
The 2021 edition of IPL turned out to be even better. The southpaw scored 195 runs in the 6 matches at an average of 39.00 and an excellent strike rate of 152.34 including one sensational century.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will unquestionably look up to retaining a 20-year-old opener using the RTM card.

RCB spending whopping ₹14.25 crores for Maxwell surprisingly was a great decision. The Australian batting all-rounder scored 223 runs while representing Virat Kohli’s side in 6 games. Maxwell batted in the 14th edition of IPL with an average of 37.16, and a strike rate of 144.80.
Looking at Maxwell’s sensational current form, RCB will be in no mood to let him go away from the franchise. Banglore-based franchises can undoubtedly use RTM to retain aggressive batsmen on their team before IPL 2022.
