After veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has taken a shot at the former India head coach Greg Chapell after his remarks on former India skipper MS Dhoni. Recently, the former Aussie cricketer reiterated that he turned Dhoni into a finisher, who later onto win many matches for his country.
Amid the prevailing lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic, Greg Chappell was speaking to Playwrite Foundation on their official Facebook handle. During the discussion, the legendary skipper spoke about how he helped MS Dhoni blossom into a calculative finisher.
Chappell shared anecdotes from a match in 2005 where he had challenged Dhoni to hit along the ground when the India wicket-keeper was taking the bowlers to the cleaners. Greg Chappell went on to add MS Dhoni always had a broad smile on his face whenever he went past the target.
“I always used to challenge him if he could finish the game. There used to be a booming smile on his face, whenever he used to score the winning runs. He is definitely the best finisher the game has ever seen,” Chappell said.
Soon after the comments went viral on social media, Harbhajan Singh jumped in to take a dig at Greg Chappell. And now, Yuvraj Singh has joined the bandwagon with a cryptic message on micro-blogging site Twitter.
“Msd and Yuvi no sixes in the last 10 play down the ground,” Yuvraj tweeted.
