Former Indian batsman Ajay Jadeja made a very personal comment in the second T20I on Virat Kohli who is expecting his first child with his wife Anushka Sharma. The incident happened in the eighth over of the Australian innings when Virat Kohli dropped a simple chance to dismiss Matthew Wade.
However, in a rather comical mix-up, Wade was run out by Kohli himself as the Indian skipper made up for his earlier mistake. Jadeja, who was commentating at the very moment on Sony Sports Network made a rather offensive comment on the Indian skipper leaving the Indian cricket team fans fuming with anger.

The Twitterverse soon started reacting to Jadeja’s impolite comments on Virat Kohli. In a series of tweets from various users, Jadeja found himself at the receiving end of severe criticism. One of the users even asked BCCI President Sourav Ganguly to take serious actions against such comments by former cricketers.
Virat & Anushka has been at the receiving end of unfair criticism since the news of Anushka’s pregnancy became public. However, the couple has been bold enough to speak against it. Anushka especially has been very vocal on the criticism asking former cricketers to not drag her name forcefully in cricketing matters regarding Virat.

Meanwhile, India won the first T20I in an emphatic manner by six wickets. Virat Kohli scored a quickfire 40 in India’s chase of 195. However, it was Hardik Pandya who scored an unbeaten 42 off 22 ball and with Shreyas Iyer (12) added 46 in five overs to win the game for India. This was India’s 10th straight win in T20Is away from home this year.
Virat Kohli in his post-match interaction had a special mention for Hardik Pandya. He has been the most consistent Indian batsman in this tour of Australia so far.
He plays with all his heart and he certainly got that competitive nature about him and also has the skill to execute that at the highest level. That’s (next game) gonna be very exciting. In the tough moments, when so many people backing you, the next game is going to be exciting. It (scoop over fine leg) was a bit of funny moment, surprised myself there, I will send AB a text tonight and see what he thinks of it”, said Virat Kohli.
