Andre Russel since making his debut for KKR in the IPL has always been their Most valuable player. In his career Russell has time and time again helped his side win matches from miraculous situations. However, in the ongoing IPL 2021, Russell has been able to do that which is why KKR is currently in the bottom half of the table. The KKR management depends heavily on Russell as he has been their proven match-winner with both bat and ball.

It is clear that Russell at this stage is not at his best which now perhaps starting to affect him. All the West Indies players including Russell have never been known to hide their emotions both on and off the field. Russell loves playing for Kolkata Knight Riders and takes full pride in winning matches for them.

Lately, that has not been happening and Russell is starting to feel the agony of it. The Caribbean star posted his photo with a bottle of Old Monk on his Instagram story and wrote, “It’s ok to not be ‘ok.’’ Russell in the photo looked in distress and since then his fans have assumed that it may be possible due to his poor form in IPL 2021.

Meanwhile, Andre Russell so far has scored just 118 runs in his six games at an average of 19.66. It appears that Russell is batting way down the order which is why he finds it difficult to get going straight away. The KKR management has made some bizarre decision as far as the batting order is concerned which is why they have struggled in the tournament.

“KKR is not giving Russell his full batting. They are sending him for too few deliveries. KKR have a bazooka but they are not using it. The opposition team is scared that Russell will come and hit but he comes so late, how will he create an impact,” stated Aakash Chopra on Russell recently.
