Delhi Capitals assistant coach, Mohammad Kaif has hinted that Axar Patel could make his return to the line-up on Sunday against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Chennai. He spent nearly three weeks in isolation after testing COVID positive right before the start of the season. Kaif also lauded Patel for his recent performances at the international level.
Kaif further said that Axar’s return to see the dream bowling combination of R Ashwin, Axar Patel and Amit Mishra bowling together for Delhi Capitals.

“He’s been a key member [of the squad]. Last year, when we reached the finals Axar played a major role. He batted at No. 7, won the game against CSK at Sharjah. He was bowling beautifully, I think. Axar, [Amit] Mishra and [Ravichandran] Ashwin playing together is going to be a dream spin-bowling attack,” Mohammad Kaif said in a video uploaded by the franchise.

With 3 wins in 4 matches, Rishabh Pant’s side is placed at the third position on the points table; Sunrisers Hyderabad has opened their account with a victory of Punjab Kings and will look to add another win in their bag before leaving Chepauk.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Kaif has pointed aout saying how Delhi Capitals play Rashid Khan will decide the fate of the game for his side, Rashid has been economical as ever with five wickets in four games. SRH picked up their first win in their last game against Punjab Kings by nine wickets in Chennai.

This is SRH’s last game in Chennai after which they move to Delhi for their next four games, Kolkata for the next three and Bangalore for the final two. The Orange Army is placed seventh on the points table at the moment.
