Pakistan’s Babar Azam has been the talk of the town since last few months. Babar’s technique, precision and run-scoring ability have been praised by many. He’s reached at a point where people are now comparing him to Indian captain Virat Kohli in terms of batting.

Babar has been in prolific form since last one year or so as he’s been his side’s leading run-scorer across all three formats. Recently, to furnish his skills, he also played for Somerset County in England.

In the second T20 against England at Old Trafford in Manchester, Babar reached a new feat as he surpassed 1500 runs in T20Is. He completed the feat in the 39th inning which is the joint-fastest along with Aaron Finch and Virat Kohli.

The visitors were looking to make a strong statement after the first T20 between the two nations was washed off. The 2nd T20I between the two began on time without any delay or interruptions.

England skipper Eoin Morgan won the toss and asked the visitors to bat first. That is when the Pakistani batsmen put up a great show in the first innings. Batting first, Pakistan posted a mammoth total of 194 runs at the end of 20 overs. All thanks to valuable contributions from Babar Azam and veteran All rounder, Mohammed Hafeez, as both batsmen crossed fifties in the process.

However, the target of 195 wasn’t enough for the host nation as Dawid Malan and Eoin Morgan helped England chase down the huge target with 5 balls to spare. Malan smashed an unbeaten 54 off 36 balls whereas Mogan chipped in with 66 runs ultimately putting Pakistan through the jaws of defeat.

Talking about T20 records, Virat Kohli is the highest all-time run-scorer in the T20 format. He has scored 2794 runs wheres India’s vice-captain Rohit Sharma stands 2nd with 2773 runs in 108 games.
