Since making his debut for Pakistan, Babar has been continuously breaking records in white-ball cricket. The 26-year-old remains the only batsman to be ranked in the top 5 of all formats in the ICC rankings. Also, this was his first hundred as the ODI captain of Pakistan.

Unfortunately, his record-breaking ton went in vain as Zimbabwe stunned everyone and won the match. Once Babar was dismissed at 125, Pakistan failed to close out the match and the scores were tied.

Meanwhile, in the super-over, Pakistan opted not to bat Babar and it backfired. The hosts could only make 2 runs and Zimbabwe were able to wrap up the match in the dramatic super over. Pakistan won the first two matches of the ODI series but the visitors managed to clinch the final ODI.

Furthermore, Babar Azam once again enhanced his reputation as a batsman and delivered for his side. However collectively as a team, Pakistan still has loads of work to do. The two sides will now play a 3 match T20I series starting on Saturday.
