Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill responded with a lighthearted remark to a journalist’s confusing question during the IPL 2025 pre-season press conference. Gill was joined at the media event by head coach Ashish Nehra, assistant coach Parthiv Patel, director of cricket Vikram Solanki, and COO Colonel Arvinder Singh.
As the press conference neared its end, the organizers announced that only two more questions would be allowed. However, one journalist managed to ask four to five questions simultaneously. Smiling, Gill playfully acknowledged how the journalist cleverly fit them all in.
Adding to the humor, Ashish Nehra jokingly expressed relief that the questions weren’t directed at him.
“Chaar paanch question aap ne ek hi question me puch liye,” Gill said (You’ve asked 4 to 5 questions in 1 question)
“Me ye hi baat soch raha tha (I was thinking), Thank God you didn’t ask me,” Nehra joked.

In response to a question about the lessons he gained from leading Gujarat Titans in IPL 2024, Shubman Gill said:
“Speaking about lessons, I learned a lot of new things in my first year as the captain. I think the most interesting and challenging thing about captaincy is that everyday you learn something new about the players and about yourself.”
Shubman Gill Backs Gujarat Titans’ Consistency for IPL 2025 Success
At the same press conference, GT captain Shubman Gill stated that his team didn’t require any ‘special’ strategies to secure victories. He highlighted GT’s consistency over the past three seasons and added:
“I don’t think anything special sir. I think if you look at the records, we are the team with the most wins and the highest percentage of wins. And I don’t think we have to do anything different. Over the last 3 years, we have played consistent cricket, and the results speak for themselves.”
Gujarat Titans will kick off their IPL 2025 campaign against Punjab Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 25. Ticket sales for the GT vs. PBKS match are now available both online and offline.
