ECB Posts A Cheeky Birthday Wish For Virat Kohli

Wishing keep pouring in for Virat Kohli as every one single cricket fan is going on wishing the India skipper on social media. Ever since today morning the hashtag #HappyBirthdayViratKohli has been trending all over Twitter all courtesy his super fans. When everyone is wishing Virat Kohli by posting his accomplishments and achievements in World cricket, there is the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) that decided to wish Virat Kohli in the most cheeky fashion.

The Cricket board from England posted a Video of Virat Kohli getting bamboozled by Adil Rashid during the 2018 India’s tour of England. During an ODI in Leeds, captain Eoin Morgan brought Rashid into action as soon as Virat Kohli arrived at the crease and the leg spinner didn’t spare anytime to shock the Indian skipper with his leg break.

Adil Rashid Bamboozles Virat Kohli

Rashid, bowling from over the wicket pitched the ball outside the line of leg stump wherein the ball spun enough to knock Kohli’s off stump. The dismissal was in many talks as some regarded it as the ball of the century.  On the basis of this one delivery, Adil Rashid was recalled to the test side since the England side looked to utilise Rashid’s leg breaks to dismiss Kohli in the test series as well.

But that didn’t seem to work for England in the Test series as Kohli was playing a league of his own where he scored 593 runs in five test matches averaging a staggering 59.30. In the ODI series as well Kohli finished as the highest run-getter in the three-match series as he finished with 191 runs in three matches.

As of today Virat is in the UAE captaining the RCB franchise where his side has managed to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2016. They play the first eliminator against David Warner led Sunrisers Hyderabad on 6th November.
