Team India’s strength and conditioning coach Nick Webb participated in a question and answer session on his Instagram. He interacted with fans and answered a few questions about the Indian players and the workout regimes they follow to stay fit.

All the Indian cricket fans started pouring in questions to ask him. One of the fans asked him about the Indian captain Virat Kohli’s fitness regime. Nick Webb said:

“Our fierce leader leaves nothing to chance with his preparation. Virat Kohli embraces being uncomfortable in order to be comfortable out on the field”

He summarized Virat Kohli’s hard work in the perfect way. Nick Webb said that the Indian captain tries to achieve optimum fitness and does his best to be in ideal shape. Webb also gave a sneak-peek into Virat Kohli’s training routine by sharing a video.

When a fan questioned the coach about Virat Kohli’s training, the New Zealander answered by sharing a small clip in which fans could see the Indian skipper doing overhead press with banded chaos. Replying to the query through his Instagram story, Nick Webb wrote:

“With focus and clarity of his physical objective.”

Nick Webb joined Team India as a strength and conditioning coach. He also spoke about Indian opener KL Rahul. He said that KL Rahul was very calm and collected. As for the Indian wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant’s fitness routine, he said that consistency is certainly the key.

When asked who would win in a pushup contest between KL Rahul and Pant, Nick Webb said:

“It will be a close one. I think KL would be a quietly confident man to bid on, but Rishabh Pant might take this one out.”

The Indian team is all set to play their first Test match against England starting on August 4th.
