Veteran Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has joined the Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of IPL 2021. The off-spinner joined the team on March 27 and is currently at the team hotel. Bhajji has also started his 7-day quarantine period before resuming practice with the side. The off-spinner was snapped up by the Shahrukh Khan-owned franchise in the second round of the IPL 2021 player auction. He went unsold in the first after which KKR bagged him for 2 crores.

KKR’s official Youtube channel posted a video of Harbhajan Singh entering the team hotel. He was also heard saying see you in seven days as he entered the isolation. Harbhajan’s addition to the squad has all the more strengthened KKR’s bowling attack. He will join the likes of Sunil Narine, Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, and others in KKR’s spin department. Harbhajan Singh Joins KKR IPL 2021 Squad

A veteran of 235 T20 scalps, Harbhahajn started his IPL career with Mumbai Indians. A former MI captain, he represented the franchise in the first 10 seasons. He moved to Chennai Super Kings after being released by the franchise in 2018. Harbhajan spent two seasons with the Yellow Army. He withdrew from IPL 2020, which was played in UAE due to COVID-19. Harbhajan was released by CSK after 2020 and was then bought by KKR.

Along with Harbhajan, The franchise roped in Pawan Negi, Ben Cutting and Karun Nair among their crucial buys for the season. Cutting was bought at his base price of Rs. 75 lakh. Karun Nair and Pawan Negi made their way into Kolkata Knight Riders with Rs. 50 lakh each.

Meanwhile, the franchise will begin its campaign on April 11 in a bid to win its third IPL title. The Knight Riders will play three matches in Chennai before travelling to Mumbai to play two games. The caravan then moves to Ahmedabad followed by Bangalore where they play five matches to end their league stage.
