The preparations for IPL 2020 is in full flow in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The biggest T20 extravaganza begins precisely in a week on September 19. Former England captain Kevin Pietersen will be doing commentary in the upcoming IPL season.

Pietersen who was giving his expert analysis during the England and Australia white ball series has departed for Dubai. The former cricketer updated all his fans on Instagram as he is immensely excited about working on IPL this year.  Also, Pietersen asked all his followers concerning who will win IPL 2020. He picked the Delhi Capitals to lift the IPL trophy in the UAE.

“From a bubble in the UK to a bubble in Dubai…! I love that we have cricket back and as always very excited about working on the IPL. Who’s winning? I hope Delhi!”, Pietersen wrote in the caption of his photo on Instagram.

During his playing days, the Englishmen represented the Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rising Pune Supergiants respectively in his IPL career. Since his retirement, Pietersen has still been associated with the game and has been often seen doing commentary during the IPL, Big Bash League and home series of England.

Moreover, Delhi Capitals will be once again chasing their first IPL in the UAE. The franchise will be led by Shreyas Iyer whereas Ricky Ponting is still the head coach. Delhi Capitals will face the Kings XI Punjab in their opening match of IPL on September 20 at Dubai.

The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League will be played from September 19 to November 10 across 3 venues in the UAE. All IPL 2020 matches will be played at Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi in a bio-secure bubble. Defending champions Mumbai Indian will lock horns against Mumbai Indians in the season opener next Saturday.
