The Men in Blues had a devastating campaign in the last edition of the T20 World Cup in the UAE and Oman. They had a poor start to the campaign, suffering a humiliating defeat at the hands of arch-rivals Pakistan. The Asian giants were handed more miseries this time by New Zealand which put their qualification for the semifinal under the spotlight.

Although India won their remaining three group matches against relatively weaker oppositions, they failed to qualify and bowed out of the tournament from the group stages.

A new Indian side under captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid will look to shrug aside the past failures and script history in the upcoming T20 World Cup Down Under.
